Police report that Kimberly Arrington was last seen on Oct. 30, 1998 at the CVS pharmacy at Third Street and Forest Avenue. Her father Walter Arrington Jr. said that people took to the teenager easily, describing her as personable and “well-liked.

LaQuanta Riley was last seen getting into a dark green Ford Taurus or Chevrolet Caprice on the night of Dec. 7, 2003 at her home on 3148 South Rick Drive.

It’s unknown who or how many people were in the car with her. About a week after her disappearance her mother, Pam Riley, received a disturbing message. She said the 19-year-old could be heard crying out: “leave me alone” or “let me go home.”

When Aubrina Mack left her home on Central Street on Aug. 15, 2006, she told her sister that she was walking over to a neighboring street.

She never returned home.

Her family has said they don’t believe that she would willingly leave her children behind, but the case has long gone cold and few details are known about her disappearance.

Ebony Shanetta Spears was last seen at the Pointe-Taylor Estates in downtown Wilmington on January 15, 2016. When she disappeared, Spears was 30, described as about 130 pounds, 5-feet 8-inches tall, with black hair (partially died blonde at the time of her disappearance) and brown eyes. Spears has a tattoo of a rose on her right shoulder and a tattoo of a butterfly on the top of her right foot.

These four are among the estimated 64,000 Black girls and women across the United States that have gone missing.
